Legal & Medical Conferences in Greece and Australia

Kos MuseumWelcome to the home page of for Legal and Medical Conferences, held in Greece and Australia. We are a not-for-profit organization, formed in 2002 to promote the ideals of Hellenism and Greek Culture. We are formed for charitable purposes; for more details, visit our Charitable Aims.

Our founding chairman, Eugenia Mitrakas, is well known in Australian legal and community circles and in the Greek community. Our Australian Patron is Professor Peter Doherty AC, the 1996 co-winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine and our Greek Patron is Justice Konstantinos Vardakakis of the Supreme Court (Arios Pagos) of Greece.

Our Events

poolAt our events we aim to address contemporary issues in law and medicine. In particular, we debate aspects relating to evolving aspects of professional responsibilities and the roles and duties of professionals, particularly when facing current practice and ethical issues.

We seek contributions from academics, judges, practising lawyers, doctors and academics, as well as people involved in associated fields. We look forward to active debate and participation. In addition, we support a wide and varied cultural program in conjunction with our events.
